SpaBalancer Filter Clean

Modern cartridge filters consist of a special fleece that has millions of tiny passages. Dirt gets caught in these passages and is thus retained. In case of improper cleaning, bacteria settle in the fleece and form a biofilm that protects them. Additional fats, oils and dander form the food base for the bacteria. Then the filter becomes a water polluter. Contaminated filters also cause higher power consumption of the filter pump and shorten the life of the filter pump.

For these reasons, it is important to clean the filters thoroughly on a regular basis: SpaBalancer Filter Clean dissolves organic dirt, grease and oil from the filter fleece.

Clean the filters every two to three weeks (weekly cleaning may also be necessary during the initial period with SpaBalancer) and use a second set of filters during the cleaning period. To do this, place the filters in a container and add 100 ml to 200 ml of SpaBalancer Filter Clean and fill with water until the filters are covered. The higher the concentration of SpaBalancer Filter Clean, the better the cleaning effect. The amount of SpaBalancer Filter Clean depends on the contamination. Leave the filters in the container with SpaBalancer Filter Clean for at least 12 hours.

Then remove the filters and rinse them thoroughly with a water hose. It is recommended to use the SpaBalancer Filter Cleaner for this purpose.

In the second step, place the filters in the SpaBalancer Ultrashock solution for at least 12 hours. Use 25 ml of SpaBalancer Ultrashock for 10 liters of water. The filters should be completely covered. Then rinse the filters thoroughly and let them dry out.

SpaBalancer Ultrashock will oxidize any remaining dirt and germs. So you can be sure that the filters are 100% free of bacteria. In addition, SpaBalancer Ultrashock prevents residue from the filter cleaner from causing the water in the spa to foam.

Replace your filters every two years. The filter fleece loses its filtering effect over time. Even good-looking filters can then only provide poor filtering performance.
